The Kumaon Pilgrimage winds through the lesser-celebrated but deeply sacred hills of Kumaon — a land where every peak, river, and grove is alive with divine presence. From the wish-fulfilling deity Golu Devta at Chitai to the Shakti power of Purnagiri, the temples here are not monuments but living centres of community faith.

Our 5-day journey includes the celebrated Nanda Devi temple in Almora — dedicated to the presiding goddess of Kumaon — as well as the beautifully carved Katarmal Sun Temple, one of the most significant solar shrines in India. The journey concludes with a climb to Purnagiri, the Shakti Peethas perched above the Sharda River gorge.

Unlike high-altitude Chardham routes, Kumaon's temples are accessible through gentle forest paths and scenic hill roads, making this circuit ideal for first-time mountain pilgrims, families, and those seeking deep tradition in a calm, unhurried environment.

"In the hills of Kumaon, the Goddess watches over every step — go with a pure heart and She will meet you."
